As children of God, we enjoy all kinds of undeserved blessings. But sometimes we go through more difficult times. And even these hardships can be positive for us if we react in the right way.

When faced with a difficult situation, we often instinctively ask ourselves why this is happening to us. Sometimes, we find the answer, but it is also possible that there isn’t an answer, and we must learn to change the question.

We all love to receive compliments or encouragement. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course! However, we need to be vigilant when we start to seek out only these flattering words.

Most Christians know they won’t have seven years of misfortune breaking a mirror, walking under a ladder, or petting a black cat. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t superstitious. For without love, our faith can become superstition.
