Next, here are some questions to discuss: What do you hear the most in your church? To wait for God to send you a partner or to take steps to meet them? Why do we more than often hear: “Wait, God is preparing them for you”? Maybe it is also because they don’t want Singles to run after love all the time. Song of Songs 8:4 : I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases.

Then here are some questions to discuss: What does the world (modern psychology) say about self-esteem? What does God say about who we are? How is knowing how God sees us good for our self-esteem? We can know what God says but have trouble accepting or believing it. So how do we believe it, especially when we see the opposite? Why is it important to have good self-esteem before entering into a relationship?

Then here are some questions to discuss: A goal is something you can do for yourself. Marriage cannot, therefore, be a goal, because it takes 2 people to get married! But what goals can you give yourself to be more ready to get married? Do you have other personal or professional goals that you could share with us? Do you have a spiritual goal or plan? Something you have in heart to do to make the Kingdom of God grow?

Have you ever waited for a response from someone, and even been angry about waiting only to realize later that someone else had your response? A classic situation where you were looking at the wrong person. What if it was the same as seeking a partner?

When we wait a long time for a partner and loneliness becomes heavy, we may be tempted to make significant compromises. However, despite our exasperation, we must keep the price of our soul in sight.
