If there is one phrase that a single Christian hears often, it is : “God is preparing someone special for you.” We hear it so often that we can become irritated by it. This encouragement seems spiritual, but is it biblical?

God has called us to be a holy people, a people set apart. Several passages in the Bible compare salvation to a new birth, a new life. What does that mean in regards to our time of being single or dating?

You gave your life to Jesus a few years ago, and you are confident in your faith now. What’s the next step? Getting married to a good Christian partner? No. Your lifetime goal has nothing to do with your social status.
