We often hear Christians say that they have asked God for a sign to prove to them that they are making the right decision. It sounds very spiritual, but is it a practice that God appreciates?

Because we do not have God in front of us, we often forget to ask for His opinion and even His direction. We have our plans, and we are focused on following them. Sometimes this is our biggest mistake.

We often complain about our current situation. We point out the disadvantages of being single; and married, we can always find reasons to complain! Why not focus on the good parts of the state we are in?

When we ask God for something, we often have a firm image of how He should answer us. The danger with this image is that it can prevent us from seeing that God has answered us, but in another way.
