Our pastors look strong, they’re handsome, they’re filled with the Spirit of God, and… they’re married. With our failures in love, we singles may feel less qualified to serve God. But that is not what God thinks!

A glass of cold water on a hot day is a relief! A small, simple service that can make a big difference. That is what our Heavenly Father encourages us to do toward each other.

“Open the eyes of my heart…”, says the popular song by Paul Baloche. And we sing it at the top of our lungs. But do we make it a prayer? We can be so distracted by the mundane that we forget about eternity.

Sometimes we feel compelled to respond to an offense against us by inflicting the same offense on the person who gave it to us. We want to “make them pay”. This form of resentment only sows poison in our relationships.
