Then here are some questions to discuss: Let’s start by defining what the gift of celibacy is. Go read Matthew 19:11-12. Based on what you have just read, how would you define the gift of celibacy? Having the gift of celibacy is still quite rare. So why would it be good for a person to know whether (or not) they have the gift of celibacy? What is the point of knowing if we have this gift or not?

Then here are some questions to discuss: When you learned that the title of our meeting today was “Learning to say no”, how did you react? Is it easy for you to set your limits? Why? In your local church (or previous church!), has anyone ever said to you “Since you are single, could you do this or that service?” What did you feel then? And what was your response?

Certain passages in the Bible sometimes seem contradictory. To understand, we must really study the passages, and what we then discover is a real gem.

Then here are some questions to discuss: Read Romans 3:23 and John 14:6. We lived in sin and accepted Jesus as our Savior. That’s salvation. Let’s go around the table and tell us the testimony of your salvation. Tell us what you were like before your salvation and how you gave your life to God. If we know that sin is what separated us from God, what still separates us from God, why is sin so tempting?

Sometimes, in our suffering, we forget that God is on our side and that He takes good care of us. So here are some reminders of how God can work to transform our suffering into blessings.
