Children are impulsive. Often parents have to stop them by saying: “Think about what you are doing!” As adults, are we very different from them? Yet God’s Word says that our success lies in these moments of reflection.

We ask God for a particular solution, and we get silence. We can even end up asking: “Where is God?” No one can explain all the reasons for these silences, but here are some ideas to encourage you.

Then here are some questions to discuss: What promise from God has already come true in your life? Or what prayer have you prayed based on a verse and was answered? Which promises are the most reliable: those that God makes or those that we make? And why can we trust it more? Why is it important to keep your promises? What are the consequences of breaking a promise?

Then here are some questions to discuss: God hears everything we say to our coworkers. We can’t always talk about Jesus at work! But how can we honor God in the way we speak in our workplace? With our bosses or our employees? Is it difficult to be different in our words or topics of conversation when we are in the workplace? Why and how to be different?

Our Lord was perfect and constantly in unison with His Father. Seeking to be like Him is a task that seems impossible. But there are a few little attitudes of Jesus that are easier to adopt, and that’s a good place to start.
